Balayage is a French term meaning “to sweep”- it is the art of sweeping lightener onto the hair/painting the hair in a way that looks very natural and sunkissed, like you’ve spent all summer at the beach. This look is meant to utilize and enhance your natural color for dimension. Your balayage will grow out seamlessly and beautifully over time and is much less maintenance than traditional highlights of the past. With proper home care products you can go anywhere from 3 to 6 months in between appointments. This technique can be customized to fit your unique needs and lifestyle.
The use of salon quality home care products is essential to preserving your balayage. You can go anywhere from 3 to 6 months in between balayage appointments. The lighter your balayage the more often you will have to come in for maintenance. Glazing is recommended every 8 weeks to refresh tone and enhance shine, but not always necessary if you are using the correct products at home!
